Corrian is a sultry R& B Singer,
Songwriter, and Actress from Dallas, Texas who captivates the audience with her
light and presence! When you see and hear this young lady on stage, you will
know that she was created to sing. If you ask Corrian why she is pursuing a
singing career, she will answer, “It is not my choice, it is my purpose and a
God given path that I must follow.” That’s not hard to believe. At the tender
age of 11, Corrian featured in the Junior Black Academy of Arts and Letters,
production "I Can’t Cope".
Since then she has remained on stage. Her musical theater experience comes to
life on stage. As you watch and listen, you will be left wanting to hear and see
more of this born star. In 1995, Corrian starred in Shelly Garrett's #1 Black
Play Writers Musical Drama "Battered Love". In another of Garrett’s musical
productions "What Kind Of Love Is This", Corrian co-starred as the leading
actress and songstress with national recording artist Jeffery
Osborne. She also co-wrote the songs for the production. On tour, she has graced
theater stages such as the Dallas Convention Center, The Majestic, Houston
Wortham, and the Atlantic City Trump Theater.
Corrian has shared the stage with other national recording artist such as Peabo
Bryson, Melba Moore, Jennifer Holiday, and Eartha Kitt, with whom she did a live
recording at the Caravan of Dreams. As the Lead Vocalist of The Raybans, Corrian
has performed for numerous private and public venues, was featured in the Fort
Worth National Bank commercial jingle and opened for the Temptations and Lyle
Lovett.
In 2005, Corrian was invited and appeared on the Legendary Showtime at the
Apollo! Corrian’s biggest influence is her mother Gwynneth Spencer-Rogers, who
has encouraged, inspired, and taught her about the power of faith, courage, and
perseverance as she battled cancer. Since the loss of her mother in 2005,
Corrian began song writing again and out of her pain has
come a gift that she is ready to share with the world now more than ever. Ladies
